BUYER’S GUIDE

The real cost of sourcing goes beyond the unit price

A good quotation should help you understand the money, time and risk involved in bringing a product to your market.

Price is only the first number

The product price matters. So do the hours your team spends clarifying specifications, chasing samples, checking artwork and following up on production. A low unit price becomes less attractive when it creates extra work throughout the project.

Delivery reliability has a cost

A delayed shipment can disrupt a promotion, leave shelves empty or require more expensive freight. Agree production milestones, inspection timing, cargo-ready dates and shipping plans. Separate the factory dispatch date from the estimated arrival date.

Quality should be defined, not assumed

What does acceptable quality mean for this order? Confirm materials, dimensions, fit, finish, function and packaging against an approved sample and written specification. Agree the inspection criteria before production, not after a disagreement.

Compare the same scope

Compare quotations using the same product specification, testing requirements, packaging, carton configuration, pallet plan and trade terms. List one-time costs separately from recurring unit costs. An apparently cheaper offer may simply exclude an item you need.

Choose a supplier who reduces your workload

The right supplier makes decisions easier and progress visible. At Sinomat, we aim to keep product approvals, order progress and logistics updates connected so your team can focus on the decisions that matter.
